This campaign was dedicated to raise funds for the europe tour of the Palestine Youth Orchestra in 2019. The Youth Orchestra has performed in five european countries with thousands of attendees.  

The Palestine Youth Orchestra

The Palestine Youth Orchestra (PYO) was created in 2004 by the ESNCM with the vision of bringing together young Palestinian musicians from around the world. The orchestra can rightly claim today that it is a quality national youth orchestra on a par with similar ensembles worldwide. Over the past ten years, it has performed in Palestine, Germany, France, Jordan, Syria, Bahrain, Lebanon, Greece and Italy. The PYO comprises around eighty young musicians of Palestinian origin residing around the world. 

Europe Tour 2019

The Palestine Youth Orchestra brings its eclectic mix of high energy symphonic and Arabic music to NORTHERN EUROPE in summer 2019 performing at some of the regions most exciting concert venues. The musicians were resident in Kristiansund, Norway, where they performed on 4 August, before concerts in Trondheim (5 Aug), Oslo (7 Aug), Gothenburg (8 Aug), Copenhagen (10 Aug), Aarhus (11 Aug), Bremen (13 Aug) and Apeldoorn (15 Aug). They finished their tour at the world-famous Concertgebouw in Amsterdam (16 Aug), which made their debut performance in the Netherlands. 

About Edward Said National Conservatory of Music 

The Edward Said National Conservatory of Music was founded in 1993, under the wing of Birzeit University’s board of trustees in response to the need of a structure to support Music and the Music Education in Palestine. Our role as the biggest cultural organization operating in Palestine with six branches is to promote the Palestinian culture and cultural identity inside and outside Palestine. We work on promoting music and culture to every Palestinian house.
