What is meant by social innovation? Where are the strongest ecosystems to support social innovators? And how have communities supported changemakers to translate dreams into impactful action?

This panel will feature global models of social innovation and discuss them in the context of Palestine. The goal is to identify opportunities to ignite the ecosystem in Palestine, while also embracing what makes the case of Palestine unique.

Alberto is one of the makers of the Impact Hub Network, the leading global organisation supporting social entrepreneurs and innovators who want to start-up and scale their impactful ventures. Alberto is the Global Development Director of the network. He oversees the strategic development and implementation of all Translocal programmes between the 100+ hubs currently present across the world. He also focuses on institutional fundraising and development, especially with statutory donors.

Prior to working in the social enterprise sector, Alberto worked for several years for leading UK international NGOs, including Christian Aid and International Alert. He holds a BA Hons in Contemporary History from the University of Bologna, and an MSc in Global Politics from the LSE. He shares his spare time between my many interests: cycling, going to the movies, learning carpentry, having a go (weather permitting) at urban farming.

البيرتو هو احد مؤسسي شبكة امباكت هب، وهي منظمة عالمية رائدة تدعم ريادي الأعمال الاجتماعيين والمبتكرين الذين يرغبون في بدء مشاريعهم المؤثرة وتوسيع نطاقها.
يعمل ألبرتو كمدير قسم التنمية العالمية في الشبكة، حيث يشرف على التطوير الاستراتيجي والتنفيذ لجميع برامج ترانس لوكال بين أكثر من 100 مركز موجود حاليًا في جميع أنحاء العالم. كما أنه يركز على جمع التبرعات المؤسسية والتنمية ، خاصة مع الجهات القانونية المانحة.
عمل ألبرتو لعدة سنوات مع المنظمات غير الحكومية الدولية الرائدة في المملكة المتحدة مثل النترناشونال اليرت و كريتيان ايد قبل بدء عمله في قطاع المؤسسات الاجتماعية. حصل على درجة البكالوريوس مع مرتبة الشرف في التاريخ المعاصر من جامعة بولونيا ، ودرجة الماجستير في السياسة العالمية من كلية لندن للاقتصاد. يحب البيرتو قضاء وقت فراغه بممارسه انشطة مختلفة منها: ركوب الدراجة ،الذهاب إلى السينما ، وتعلم النجارة ، وممارسة الزراعة الحضرية (إذا سمح الطقس بذلك).
