We’re overwhelmed with all the messages of solidarity and support we’ve been receiving from friends all over the world. Several of you reached out to ask how you can support Palestine during this time, so we’ve compiled a list of organizations and campaigns you can donate to. We’ll also be sharing some alternative opportunities to help out, including volunteering, so please stay tuned during the upcoming days.
For now, please continue to share what’s happening in Sheikh Jarrah*, in Gaza, in ‘48, and in Palestine as a whole. The last few days have shown us that our voices do matter and that among all the disheartening news we’ve been experiencing and sharing, there is hope for the freedom of our land and people.
*Important note on Sheikh Jarrah: residents of Sheikh Jarrah (Sheikh Jarrah Units) have explicitly stated that they are not asking for any sort of financial aid or donations at the moment. They call upon supporters and allies to instead be physically present at Sheikh Jarrah, to share the current expulsions and ethnic cleansing in the Jerusalem neighborhood, and to call Israel out on its actions.
Here is a list of urgent relief campaigns and organizations you can donate to support Gaza:
The Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA)
MECA works to protect the rights and improve the lives of children in the Middle East through aid, empowerment, and education.
